Lately Matt likes to build ships with recyclables and a lot of tape :) here is his latest, a cruise ship.

We have been picked by a birth-mom to be the parents of her child. She is going to the hospital as we speak, to be examined and to see how close she is to delivering on her own, or if they will need to induce her. She is 16, and pretty nervous. She is also 10 days overdue! Prayers are appreciated for all! I'll post an update as soon as we get home!

Matthew's Birthday Party

Happy Birthday Matthew! As I write this, my poor baby is sleeping upstairs with a fever and the chills. I hope he gets to feeling better soon. Here are some photos from his 3rd birthday party. Thanks Grandpa Chuck for being our wonderful photographer!

Lazy Blogger!!

Oh my poor blog...how I have neglected thee. I thought I would post a few photos as a teaser, but Greg has the camera with all the photos with him in Pennsylvania. So, I promise to do a big birthday update next week.In the meantime, life over here has been looking up! We made some dietary changes for Matthew and put him on Omega-3 fish oils every day, and his behavior has dramatically changed for the better. He seems to have a lot more joy and patience lately. He is full of so much love, and has a much greater attention span. For the first time in 1-1/2 years, he will sit through book after book. He will play with play-doh or moon sand for an hour or more. He even plays better by himself and shares a bit better with other kids. We prayed that God would fill his heart with love and joy, and bring him peace and help Matthew with his temper and frustrations. We have seen God totally answer that prayer.

We have also made great strides in the potty training department. He is about 80% there!

Doozie School

Every Monday, Matthew and I go to a mom and tot pre-school. He looks forward to this all week long. He refers to it as Doozie School, since there is a puppet that visits every week names Doozie. Here are some photos from our day at school.

The other day, Matthew wedged himself behind our kitchen garbage can and started yelling to me that he was lost, and I needed to come find him. I love this age!! So cute!

Crayons

Oh how I wish a had a photo for this!! In the moment, a picture was the last thing on my mind, but it was a picture indeed!! I swear I was only upstairs for like 4 minutes...honest!! Matthew walks upstairs with red all around his mouth, down his shirt, in his hair...then I go downstairs and see red all over the trampoline, the floor, my walls. Apparently Crayola crayons are mighty tasty...cant wait to see the rainbow of colors later today :-) How can a crayon make this kind of a mess you ask?? This I can not even begin to explain, but it's true indeed!! Good they are non-toxic! Other delicacies this week included glue at pre-school, cotton balls, an attempt at a pen cap. Is there a term for kids that enjoy eating non-food things. All this and still won't touch a vegetable that's not a pickle or cucumber!! What to do???
