Love at First Sight (February 28, 2007)

Praise God for His faithfulness!! It was a beautiful winter Wednesday the day we met our precious son for the first time on February 28, 2007. He was born Tuesday February 27th at 5:36pm. Born at St. Mary's in Livonia to his sweet and beautiful birthmother Corina! He was then sent to St. Joe's in Ann Arbor that same evening to be cared for in their NICU unit. He spent just 6 short days in the NICU before we were able to take him home and begin the most incredible journey of a lifetime. We were parents at last!! Matthew John weighed 4 lbs and 7 ounces at discharge and measured 16" long. The doctors said he was in perfect health!! Here are some photos of our week in the NICU.
