Crayons

Oh how I wish a had a photo for this!! In the moment, a picture was the last thing on my mind, but it was a picture indeed!! I swear I was only upstairs for like 4 minutes...honest!! Matthew walks upstairs with red all around his mouth, down his shirt, in his hair...then I go downstairs and see red all over the trampoline, the floor, my walls. Apparently Crayola crayons are mighty tasty...cant wait to see the rainbow of colors later today :-) How can a crayon make this kind of a mess you ask?? This I can not even begin to explain, but it's true indeed!! Good they are non-toxic! Other delicacies this week included glue at pre-school, cotton balls, an attempt at a pen cap. Is there a term for kids that enjoy eating non-food things. All this and still won't touch a vegetable that's not a pickle or cucumber!! What to do???

This Saturday, Matthew and his Grandpa went to Lowe's "Build and Grow" free workshop. Together they built a race-car garage. They really are best buddies!!

Autumn Leaf War

Who knew you could have this much fun with a big pile of leaves? What a great couple of weeks we have had, with temperatures in the 60's and 70's!! Matthew had a blast attacking Greg and me with handfuls of leaves. Of course, we couldn't let him have all the fun!! This was one of those days you want to bottle up for a rainy day. Matthew is acting so grown up lately. The things that come out of his mouth are so funny, and so smart! We are really proud to be his parents, and amazed at the person he is becoming. What a neat little guy!

Halloween Night

This year we decided to start a new tradition with Matthew, since he is not able to eat most of the candy he would get Trick-or-Treating. We stayed home, passed out candy, made Pumpkin muffins (Matthew helped with everything), carved and decorated pumpkins with Uncle Steve and cousin Jacob, and watched the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. It was a wonderful night. Our good friends stopped by as they made their rounds and had a special treat bag with safe candy just for Matthew!! What wonderful friends we are blessed with!

Okay...so it looks like I have officially neglected to update my blog. Facebook has become my official time-waster!! So, I will put new pix on the blog tonight! I have to get them off Greg's computer first though...stay tuned!

Dinnertime

So, this morning Greg decided to test the smoke alarm by lighting a match under it. When the alarm went off, Matthew said, "It's Dinnertime!!" Oh Boy!!!"
