We noticed yesterday after our two mile walk that Matthew's "cold" symptoms seemed to be at their worst after he's spent time outdoors. I know that many of my friends have allergy trouble this time of year, so last night we turned on the air-conditioner as an experiment. To our delight, Matthew slept peacefully through the night-without a sniffle. It may be too soon to draw a conclusive argument, but we think he may be allergic to ragweed or mold (both are high outside right now.) I am sad to think we need to stay indoors all throughout the fall season. Any suggestions??

Could it be Ragweed?

Hi Guys,
The pictures are great! He's so adorable! Good insight about the air conditioner. Matthew's fortunate to have such smart parents!
As far as staying indoors during the Fall months, I don't think it's necessary. I'd avoid walking in the woods and playing in the leaves (mold) though.
By keeping him in the air conditioning when he's in the house, you'll enable him to handle the stuff outside. I'd at least try it. Maybe that way he can develop some resistance to the ragweed, etc. He'll need a little exposure to it in order to do this. Blessings to all of you, we miss you! Love, Mom
